RUN AGAINST THE MACHINE +
Fresh air beats screen glare.
An outdoor club for kids who’d rather climb hills than climb the leaderboard on Fortnite. Some belong on a forest trail. Run Against the Machine is a weekly trail running club for kids who want to move, explore, get muddy, build confidence and discover what they’re capable of. No stopwatches. No pressure. No sitting on the sidelines. Just fresh air, good company and a little adventure.
Each week we run trails, walk hills, play games, swim (summer), practice breath work and calming the mind, build confidence, make friends, get muddy.

Why Trail Running?
Kids spend enough time indoors.
Trail running teaches children something increasingly rare: how to be uncomfortable without giving up.
Every hill, muddy trail and deep breath is an opportunity to practise courage, resilience and emotional regulation. Instead of avoiding challenges, children learn to stay calm, solve problems, support one another and discover they’re capable of far more than they imagined.
Research continues to show that regular movement, time in nature and mindfulness all play an important role in children’s physical and mental wellbeing. We’ve simply combined them into one adventure.
Along the way we’ll build:
Resilience
Emotional regulation
Confidence
Trail running skills
Teamwork & leadership
Respect for nature
Navigation & outdoor awareness
Problem solving
Independence
Friendships
A lifelong love of the outdoors
The goal isn’t to raise elite runners. It’s to raise resilient, capable humans.
